ACTRESS, LINDSAY LOHAN SUING ROCKSTAR OVER GTA V

A report from TMZ late last year, which stated that actress Lindsay Lohan was prepping a lawsuit against developer Rockstar over the use of her likeness in Rockstar's critical and commercial smash-hit game Grand Theft Auto V. Today, that lawsuit has finally been confirmed.

The AP reports that Lohan is suing the developer (Rockstar) because GTAV "used her image and created a character based on her without her permission." The suit was filed in New York City, the hometown of Rockstar.

The Actress' lawsuit states that a GTA V character Lacey Jonas as an "unequivocal" reference to the actress.



If you're unfamiliar with Lohan, well, she's quite popular. She rose to stardom following her starring role in the 1998 remake of the classic film The Parent Trap, and went on a spree of hit movies like Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, and others. Before unfortunately running into multiple legal issues over the past few years.

Grand Theft Auto V launched in early September, and the whole world loved it. It made $800 million in a single day, and has since gone on to sell 33 million copies. At E3 this year, it was announced for next-gen consoles.
