Evolve Delayed until 2015
The highly anticipated First Person shooter and winner of best of E3 2014 award "Evolve" has had it's release date pushed roughly four months forward.
The AAA title which was stated to be released October 21st isn't the first highly anticipated game to be delayed as it join a list of big-name titles. EA recently delayed Battlefield Hardline to next year, and Warner Bros. pushed Batman: Arkham Knight to 2015 back in June. In addition, Sony delayed The Order: 1886 right before E3, and CD Projekt Red shifted the release of The Witcher 3 to 2015 earlier this year as well.
The delay was announced by Take-Two Interactive with the following statement at the release of the company's earnings for the first-quarter of 2015:
"As stated on the Take-Two Interactive earnings call, 2K and Turtle Rock Studios are extending the development of Evolve by a few months to allow enough time to fully realize the vision for Evolve and meet our collective standards of creative excellence. We are encouraged by the press reaction and fan excitement coming out of a very successful E3, and we are now certain we are headed in the right direction with the game and we are confident in delivering a genre-defining product when Evolve launches on February 10, 2015."
